As you will be aware, the online banking login for Clydesdale, Yorkshire Bank and B Bank has been moved to one main login at the Virgin Money site.
These changes are also reflected in their Open Banking connections. Because Virgin have withdrawn the relevant login pages it is no longer possible to link or reauthenticate existing accounts that you have added to Money Dashboard via the Clydesdale, Yorkshire Bank or B Bank login forms.
Due to technical restrictions we've not been able to provide an option to migrate the existing connected accounts to the new Virgin login. Unfortunately this means in order to stay connected you will need to re-add your accounts again separately using the Virgin Money login.
However, this may also mean that you end up with duplicated accounts and transaction data. If you don't need the historic data you can just delete the original Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank/B Bank version of the account.
But if you need to keep the historic data please follow the instructions below for setting accounts to a Closed status and handling duplicated transactions.
Marking accounts as 'Closed'
Setting an account to a Closed status will preserve the historic transaction and category data, insert a dummy transaction to take the balance to zero if an outstanding balance is still displaying, and the account will no longer update.
To set an account to Closed on web go to the Accounts page, click on the relevant and account and select the 'Mark as Closed' in the right hand toolbar.
To set it to Closed on the mobile app tap on the Accounts page, then the relevant account, tap the 3 dot icon in the top right to open the edit options and select the Close Account option.
Removing duplicate transactions
This can most easily be done from the full web version of Neon on the main Transactions page. Ensure the filters are set so only the newly added Virgin version of the account displays, then hover over the merchant icon to the left of the transaction and select the checkbox that appears. A multi-edit tool bar will appear at the top of the screen and you can then select multiple transactions for deletion at the same time.
