We are currently aware that users tying to connect Santander and going through the app-to-app journey with biometric authentication are failing. We have raised this to Santander and the regulator and are waiting on a definitive completion date.

We've just discovered Santander have an issue with the Open Banking authentication process on their mobile apps, and in particular attempts to authenticate using biometrics. We've raised this with them, but it will require them to apply a fix to their mobile app and we don't have any information from them about when to expect this.
How do I get around this?
There are two options:
- Please try adding from the web version of Money Dashboard NEON on laptop/desktop (not mobile device as this will just send you back to the bank's mobile app for authentication), and see if that works. If you still get an error the please get in contact with support.
- Please try disabling biometrics login on your Santander online banking app and going through the process again.
