What about accounts not on this list?
For accounts which aren’t supported, we recommend that for you to reflect these accounts as 'Offline account' at the moment and we’ll let you know via email when new account connections are made available by your bank. You will then be able to add them and Open Banking connections can offer up to 3 years worth of history.
At Money Dashboard we’ve always been the place to see all your accounts in one place. We are continuing to add new connections as the banks make them available.
Why can’t I see some of my accounts when I am going through the add account process?
Only certain types of accounts are currently provided by the banks via Open Banking. These are accounts covered by “PSD2” (legislation relating to payments accounts) which are basically any accounts that you can make payments from. We tend to see only a handful of savings accounts being supported. So far ISA accounts are not yet supported with an Open Bank API.
If you can make transactions from your savings account to another account not owned by you then it will be available with an Open Bank API. What this means in practice is that a large number of savings accounts will not appear as an option to connect via Open Banking because you can only transfer money from them to another account you hold with the same bank.
